A Happy Birthday to Mary Anning!

Mary Anning has had her (227th) birthday just yesterday! I had the great pleasure of going to Lyme Regis myself last year to do my own fossil hunting, and I couldn't help but feel a presence of all those fossil hunters, Mary included, who had walked the very shores that I walked. It was an astounding feeling, and I'm so pleased that she now has a statue to represent her, her dog, Tray, and all of her paleontological efforts that she accomplished during her sadly short life.
