Dr. Maria Mashako reports on one month of the #Ebola disease outbreak in #DRC

One month into the #Ebola disease outbreak in Democratic Republic of Congo (#DRC), the situation remains critical as infections and deaths continue to rise. But Ebola is not the only health emergency people are facing. Malnutrition, malaria, measles and lack of access to care were already widespread before the outbreak. As the disease spreads, it is placing immense pressure on an already fragile health system. Our teams are supporting the response by setting up treatment centres, strengthening surveillance and informing communities. Dr. Maria Mashako, our Medical Coordinator in DRC, reports:
