24 hour sun in Antarctica at midnight

It’s midnight at Cape Adare in Antarctica and the 24 hour sun is still in the sky. After an unbelievable day exploring Carsten Borchgrevink’s Hut and meeting hundreds of thousands of penguins, we headed around the cape for our journey south to Ross Island. We were met with hundreds of enormous icebergs and more whales than I’ve ever seen. The captain even turned the ship around for us to look at an emperor penguin! The wildlife here has been incredible, and the landscapes are just perfect. We’ve got a day at sea again so there will be time for a nap.
