Somalia and Türkiye Sign Deal On Fisheries And Blue Economy

Somalia and Türkiye are set to boost their cooperation in the fisheries and the blue economy sector following the signing of a Strategic Cooperation and Services Agreement between Türkiye's Armed Forces Pension Fund OYAK and Somalia’s Ministry of Fisheries and Blue Economy. The deal seeks to regulate all fishing activities within Somalia’s territorial waters and exclusive economic zone, focusing on sustainability, licensing, monitoring and marine resource protection.
