The wearable tech allows users to film and take photos hands-free, with a small light designed to alert others when recording is taking place. However, reports suggest some users have attempted to disable or tamper with this feature. There are also rumours Meta is developing new glasses capable of constantly analysing what users see, prompting debate over surveillance, data use and how far this technology could go. Meanwhile, Sky has announced a £1.6 billion deal to acquire much of ITV’s media business, as broadcasters face increasing competition from streaming platforms and YouTube.
