Description
On 26 June 2025, the Columban Centre for Christian-Muslim Relations hosted a public lecture for a multi-faith audience by US theologian and Catholic priest Professor Leo Lefebure at the Bishop Bede Heather Centre in Sydney, Australia. Professor Leo’s lecture was called “Shaping a Culture of Encounter: Culture, Politics, and the Promise of Interfaith Dialogue”.
Professor Leo proposes five areas where religious and interreligious leaders can work with political and cultural leaders in shaping a constructive culture of encounter: Aesthetics, Academic Sharing, Spiritual Encounter, Concern for the World, and Friendship.
This clip includes Aesthetics and Academic Sharing.
