The sounds of the Grey-headed Flying Fox calling at night. Grey-headed Flying Foxes make a range of strange shrieking calls , squeals and cackling sounds. Their calls are a common sound at night in the suburbs and cities of parts of south-eastern Australia where there are fruiting trees which they feed on. The Grey-headed Flying Fox (Pteropus poliocephalus) is a huge species of fruit eating bat found in south-eastern Australia.
