We're ditching knee-jerk firearms rules with a better Arms Act

Associate Justice Minister Nicole McKee speaks for the first reading of her replacement to the Arms Act. The legislation delivers on ACT's commitment to make firearms laws fairer and more practical for licenced firearms owners, while targeting criminal misuse of firearms. ACT and Nicole would like to go further and abolish the firearms registry, and allow sports shooters to use semi automatics under strict conditions, but this legislation is finally a step in the right direction.
