Slow Ballad of a Japanese Ming-ming Cicada in Early-October

A male ming-ming cicada (Hyalessa maculaticollis, family Cicadidae) singing pretty slowly somewhere in the mountain forest to attract conspecific females. Captured in the cloudy early-afternoon (around 13:50 PM) of early-October 2024 in Japan. The air temperature was 22 degrees Celsius. His song was so unusually slow that I wondered if he was old (senescent). Or was that a dialect in this region? It wasn’t chilly yet in mid-autumn.
