Geese are free ranging in non-breeding season

Too dangerous to let the girls start laying free range, is they nest, it can be very difficult to find them and when sitting on the nest, they are vulnerable to fox attacks. The ganders can free range all year, except the ones we need to breed from. But we don't breed often. Geese can live for 25 years, so it's a massive commitment.
