Te Arawa commemorates 140 years since devastating Tarawera eruption

It’s been 140 years since the Tarawera eruption reshaped the land and killed an estimated 120 people, most of which were Māori. A ceremony was held to look back on a night that devastated the Te Arawa region. Mārena Mane was there.
