Hezbollah supporters hold memorial ceremony for Khamenei in Beirut’s southern suburbs

Hezbollah supporters mourned Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei at a memorial ceremony held in Beirut’s southern suburbs on Wednesday.  “We are here to congratulate and bless, and at the same time to mourn the supreme leader, and to congratulate him on his martyrdom,” said one attendee.  The commemoration took place amid renewed exchanges of fire between the US and Iran after the latter attacked three commercial tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran retaliated to US strikes by launching attacks against US bases in the Gulf.
