We take an evening trip to a little village in
North Wales called Betws Y Coed and explore the old Victorian railway station we walk across the railway bridge and explore an old retro train carriage on one of the tracks. The old carriage once used for passengers travelling on the line was turned into a cafe fews years ago but is now closed for restoration works. Betws-y-Coed is a village and community in Conwy County Borough, Wales. The village is located near the confluence of the River Conwy and the River Llugwy and is on the eastern edge of Snowdonia. Betws-y-Coed railway station is 156 years old, having opened in 1868. It was initially the terminus of the London and North Western Railway line from Llandudno Junction. The station was constructed by local craftsmen using stone. Initially, it primarily handled freight, particularly slate from Snowdonia, but passenger services increased later as tourism grew.
