The Gift of Eternal Life — God’s Offer to All God’s heart toward mankind is not religion, bondage, or oppression. God’s heart is grace, mercy, and salvation through Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul was chosen to reveal this good news to all people — Jew and Gentile alike. God Wants All to Be Saved 1 Timothy 2:3–6 (KJB) “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” God is not offering salvation to a small group. He desires all men to be saved. Christ Came to Save Sinners 1 Timothy 1:15 (KJB) “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.” Jesus Christ did not come to build another religious system. He came to save sinners. Religion binds people with rules, traditions, and burdens. But Christ offers grace and forgiveness. Salvation Is the Free Gift of God Romans 6:23 (KJB) “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Sin earns death. But God offers something we cannot earn — the free gift of eternal life. The Same Salvation for Everyone Galatians 3:28 (KJB) “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” God makes no distinction. The offer of salvation is for: • Jews and Gentiles • Men and women • Rich and poor • Bond and free Every sinner who believes the gospel can receive eternal life. Salvation Is by Grace Through Faith Ephesians 2:8–9 (KJB) “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” No religious works can earn salvation. No church system can give it. It is God’s gift. The Gospel That Saves Today 1 Corinthians 15:1–4 (KJB) “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” This is the gospel of grace: • Christ died for our sins • He was buried • He rose again the third day Whoever believes this receives eternal life. God’s Invitation 2 Corinthians 5:20–21 (KJB) “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” God is extending an invitation: Be reconciled to God. Through Jesus Christ, forgiveness and eternal life are freely offered. The Message of Hope The gospel is not about religion. It is about grace. Not about human effort. But about what Christ has already done. And today, through the message given to Paul, God declares to the world: Salvation is available to all.
