How much do you know about their features? They are helpful in climbing, more helpful when sleeping and eating, and have a handy grooming tool as a bonus. The most obvious feature you see first is they have a thumb on each foot. Notice the thumb doesn’t have any claw? They can hold on tight to branches with their feet allowing them to use their hands to reach and hold branches to eat from. They can even hold on in their sleep. Did you know one last amazing feature of their feet? The first 2 toes are fused together as though they are just one toe. But look closely and you will see there are 2 separate claws. This becomes a handy comb for grooming their thick fur and helping to get grass seeds and biting insects out. The total awesomeness of koalas just never ends.
