Part 9 of how I lost my sight forever at 17... Age 13-14 and I was finally finding my feet at secondary school and my amazing mobility instructor Terry got 10 of my friends into a room, taught them to use a cane and how to be a sighted guide! It made such a difference to me - feeling accepted by my friends at that age when I was so nervous about my sight loss was just everything. Also in this part, my cataracts starting just before my GCSEs and how my mum fought so hard to get me the support I needed. I'll never stop being grateful for her. 🤍
