CUTIS skipped afternoon nap to harvest watermelons & Mom's reaction One quiet afternoon, while the whole family was asleep, CUTIS poked his head out of the room, half-hidden under his little hat. Mom and the children slept soundly. CUTIS, however, was not. He sneaked outside, climbed over the gate, determined to pick watermelons under the blazing sun. The noise woke his mother. Startled, she saw her son trying to harvest watermelons in the midday heat, trying to escape their nap. She gently stopped him, instead bringing home the sweet watermelons. They ate and enjoyed a moment of happiness together.
