The brazen couple seemed to think it was the perfect nesting spot because it was warm, close to the harbor, and full of fresh fish. However, the shop was in a busy area and unsafe for them, so the owner found them and quickly called for help. The police arrived, checked the penguins, and returned them to the harbor. But the couple showed little regard for authority and the next morning they came back to the shop. The owner had to lure them with a piece of salmon and called for help again. This time, the Department of Conservation took them to a nesting box by the water.
