ICON 4x4 has officially launched its new C Modern Retro Series, which takes a radically different approach to the traditional restomod process. Instead of simply modernizing a vintage truck, ICON is taking a brand-new factory Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4x4 platform and rebodying it with the iconic sheet metal of a 1967 through 1972 second-generation Chevy C10 or C20 pickup. This engineering approach preserves the complete modern functionality, safety tech, and reliability of the current Silverado, including its V8 engine, ten-speed automatic transmission, four-wheel drive, ABS, modern infotainment, and towing capacity. The cabin features custom-machined aluminum dashboard panels that cleanly hide the modern electronics behind retro styling, complete with power windows disguised as manual window cranks. Production is extremely limited to just five custom vehicles hand-assembled in Southern California, with deliveries starting in the second quarter of 2027. Buyers must supply the vintage C10 or C20 donor body and can choose between the weathered, patina-heavy Derelict style starting at $450,000 or the fully restored Old School version starting at $500,000. #c10 #restomod #classictrucks
