Twelve 420mm guns backing up those secondaries create a close-range combination that no ship at Tier X wants to trade into, with the main battery delivering citadels while the secondary guns stack fires and exhaust repair party charges simultaneously. Hydroacoustic search removes the one tool destroyers use to shut down a secondary brawler, clearing torpedo spreads and keeping the push alive long enough for the secondary guns to do their full damage. The largest hitpoint pool in the German tech tree means this ship absorbs everything the enemy team throws at it during the push and keeps firing until there is simply nothing left to shoot at.
