Description

We packed up our mules and headed deep into the mountains for a backcountry shed antler hunting adventure. With warmer temps finally rolling in, we decided it was time to get Clyde, Reata, and our young mule Josey back out on the trail. This trip was especially about getting Josey some experience. She’s only three years old with limited packing miles, so we kept things light and used this ride to start getting her back into shape after a long winter. Josey helped us pack a bull elk out last fall, but she hasn’t been in the mountains much since. With snow still hanging on in places, we pushed through drifts, climbed ridgelines, and covered some beautiful country searching for elk sheds. These kinds of days are why we do what we do. Getting out into wild country, putting miles on our mules, and seeing what the mountains have to offer. Come along as we ride, pack, and explore the Idaho backcountry in search of shed antlers. As always — thank you for watching!
