I used the cheap Amazon boat that I have as the platform. This is the perfect boat because it's long, has mounting points for the camper shell, and can go in only a couple of inches of water. I found parts from around the marina to build this and even pulled some junk off of an old boat. I can't wait to take this boat out on the water for a camping trip.
