Let's Play Pillars of Eternity #236: Attending the Hearings on Animancy

The capstone event of the second act is the hearings on animancy, attended by the Duc of Defiance Bay. They've been ongoing since the game started and at such a slow speed that we've been able to do everything we have without them making much headway... until now. Our arrival as part of the Crucible Knights delagation comes at the perfect time. We come armed not just with a level head, but evidence that no-oine else has thanks to our investigations into the Leaden Key. Why they want to get animancy banned is anyone's guess, but Lyrin has seen enough about the practice to know that for all its flaws, the good outweighs the bad. The actions of a few outliers should not be used to punish all those who research is more measured, more careful. The more that is learned, the safer it will get and none of that can happen if it's outlawed. The fact that it will scupper the schemes of the Leaden Key is an added bonus. I'm sure once we've said our peace, the Duc will rule on the fate of animancy fairly, justly and without any hesitation. Yep. No-one's going to ruin everything at the last minute.
