WORLD'S QUICKEST N/A CLASSIC VW TAKES ON THE 1/8 MILE IN MALMO

The MexxSpeed Racing Karmann Ghia was at Malmo Raceway in Sweden for the EU Flat Four 1/8 Mile Shootout. It is running a N/A 440HP 2976cc Flat Four air-cooled engine, with the option to switch on a further 125hp of NOS. In N/A mode Mexx made several mid 5 second passes, with a best of 5.51. He did switch on the NOS for a few runs, but issues with the seamless shifting gearbox selecting 2nd gear, meant that Mexx (after several attempts) had to call it a day. The gearbox will be taken apart, and hopefully ready for the SCC 1/4 mile event in Norway in August..
