On key issues, Trump is deeply underwater on inflation, tariffs, jobs, and immigration. Only 29% of Americans approve of the war in Iran. Gas prices have surged past a $5 national average as the Strait of Hormuz remains closed, now approaching a full month of disruption. Analysts are warning of potential cascading economic consequences across Asia, Europe, Africa, and eventually the United States. Iran posed no credible nuclear threat.
