𝗙𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗬’𝗦 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗠𝗔𝗦 𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗦 𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗙𝗬𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗙𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗬 𝗕𝗨𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗧 𝗛𝗜𝗧𝗦 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘 WATCH: A family’s Christmas celebration turned into a terrifying ordeal after a stray bullet shattered their kitchen window past midnight on Christmas Day in Consolacion, Cebu. According to Lindsay Custodio, the incident happened at around 12:26 a.m. while she, her husband, and their young daughter were inside their home opening Christmas gifts. “Nag video rami to keep the memories. Happy memories unta. Were just so happy nag open sa amung christmas gift with my husband and our daughter. Nya katung time ma nag help nami build sa iyang doll house unta,” she told MyTV Cebu. Moments later, a loud noise startled the family. “Then suddenly, there was a loud bang. Glass shattered toward us, and we were showered with it. Good thing there was a screen because the big broken glass did not go through. If the screen had not been there, I do not know what would have happened to us.” Although the screen prevented larger shards of glass from hitting them, smaller pieces still caused injuries. “I immediately check jud dayun sakung baby then akong husband bisag gagmay nga glass ni lapus na igu ra gehapun me. Like showered toward us jud. Ma feel nako naghapdos some parts sakong skin tungod sa small pieces nga glass.” Her husband suffered injuries to his eyes due to the shattered glass. “But sa akong husband naigo jud iyang eyes nasudlan and wala dayun jud niya ge piyung iyang eyes kay naka feel cya sa kadaghan small pieces nga glass nga naa sulod sa iyang eyes. Mao tu ni dagan cya sa bathroom to wash it.” Initially, Custodio thought the damage was caused by a stone. “At first, I thought jud someone had thrown a big stone at the window. Ni gawas pako outside the house to check if kinsay naglabay sa bato but wala may tao.” However, upon closer inspection, she noticed something unusual. “Then nibalik ko inside sa house to check thorougly what happen and when I checked the screen, I saw holes. If it was just a stone, why were there holes in the screen?” Despite her husband’s doubts, Custodio continued to investigate — and made a chilling discovery. “So I checked the floor to see if there was a bullet and I found one!! I started shaking when I saw it, knowing I was sitting just beside where it landed kay ang direction sa bullet from kitchen window pa down to kicthen sink lapos sa box nga kilid rapud nako.” She described the emotional toll the incident took on her family, especially her child. “Nagkurog ko jud and akong baby iyang heartbeat grabe ka paspas. Around 12:26 AM na happen but almost 2AM na intawn iyang heartbeat paspas gehapun kaayu. Grabe kaayu cya ka traumatic for us jud.” The family immediately contacted the police. “Ni contact dayun me ug police then ge investigate nila jud dayun.
