For Lawrie of LCS 4X4, Landcruisers are in his blood. His journey began in the passenger seat of his dad’s 40 series just weeks after he was born. This sparked a lifelong passion for old “farm utes,” which he was constantly modifying to keep up with his mates in their newer, more capable 4WDs. All those years of wrenching and innovation have led to this: a one-of-a-kind FJ45/80 hybrid. The build starts with a classic FJ45 cab mounted on a custom chassis inspired by the legendary 80 series. Under the bonnet lies the heart of the beast: a supercharged LS3 V8. Thanks to a Harrop supercharger, it puts out a reliable 400 kW, with a Turbo 400 transmission and an Atlas 4-speed transfer case handling the power. Got a topic you'd like us to cover?
