They are doing more wingercising (exercising their pectoral muscles) needed for flight. Luna is easy to ID with that squeaky PS (poop shot). Luna does wingers, hops, getting some air, and stomps on the nest & wing slaps Sandy - not once but twice! Sandy didn't appreciate it & gets payback! Shadow brings in a stick and gets mobbed & the kids try biting his beak. Jackie arrives with a stick too and the kids are mad there is no fish!! Jackie to the front porch. Sandy does a ps right on Mom first, then Luna will do one hitting Jackie (in slomo). Poor Jackie does not even react anymore with how frequent this is happening to her. Just like last season with Sunny & Gizmo doing poop shots on her (and Shadow), she wears it like a badge of Motherly honor. Sandy will get payback & wing slaps Luna! Tit for tat! :) Our cam operator did some great zooming and captured Sunny & Luna on the nest in the late afternoon sun! Sandy is on the right & Luna on the left. They both look so grown up now at 8 weeks old ♥ Later, Luna is seen sleeping standing up on the nest! It is heartwarming to see how strong and secure both Sandy & Luna have become.
