Rescuing a flying-fox in a courtyard: this is Lord

This rescue was called in as a 10cm (4 inch) "baby" bat in my local area. I was rescuing another batty with netting around her wing at the top of a tree at the time of the call, and thought it was going to be a simple rescue (not realising it was going to take 3 hours to get this bat out of the tree). When I finally got to rescue the courtyard 10 cm baby, it turned out to be a 30cm (1 foot) adult male flying-fox. Because I was going away the next day, I dumped this boy on a carer for the immediate care. This is 3 days later now, and he's doing well and hanging in the aviary. I don't have footage from this carer, but he's doing really well. Tolga Bat Hospital takes donations for our batties. Tolga is an awesome place in Far North Queensland, which has charity status.
