PM Modi arrives in Netherlands for key talks with Dutch leadership

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in the Netherlands on the second leg of his five-nation tour. The Prime Minister was received at Schiphol Airport by senior Dutch officials, including Rear Admiral Ludger Brummelaar, Adjutant General and Chief of the Military Household of the King of the Netherlands, Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp, and India’s Ambassador to the Netherlands Kumar Tuhin. During the visit, PM Modi is scheduled to meet Dutch Prime Minister and call on King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima in The Hague. The discussions are expected to focus on expanding cooperation in defence, security, innovation, semiconductors, green hydrogen, water management, trade, and investment. The visit comes at a time when India–Netherlands relations are witnessing strong momentum, with bilateral trade nearing $28 billion and the Netherlands emerging as one of India’s largest investment partners in Europe.
