Description

A man looks to the night sky, unsure of what he values... This is my entry to the Bricks in Motion Musical World Contest. It is the thing that has taken most of my free time (and even a bit of my sleep) from July to September. It definitely has a "I got 3 weeks to shoot this" energy, with it's janky animation, light flickers and somewhat incomplete sets, but hopefully, the vision makes it through. The story was inspired by a couple of instances of my life as well as my view of life as a Christian. Sometimes after I've done things I'd think I'd be satisfied with, I would feel unfulfilled and not really want to do anything, even the things I enjoyed. After reading some of my bible, listening to church and just thinking about it, I realized I was getting in my own way, I needed to let go of things that I didn't need or were tempting me and actually hold onto what mattered; God, and showing his kindness to others. This idea of having to let go of things and valuing what is good for others over your own wants became the big arc of the story, and I think it is a good lesson/moral to teach. Anyways, enough blabbering, hope you enjoyed the film, May God bless you in whatever you may be going through :) Music Used (In order of appearance): "Overture" by Martin O'Donnell & Michael Salvatori https://youtu.be/gBGdPoPyIX8?si=kP0vcxKUgChraMwY "Rain" (Deference for Darkness) by Martin O'Donnell & Michael Salvatori https://youtu.be/aAKEdd_H0XY?si=oGw_JUMBvO-OaJIV
