The old Toyota 7MGTE is gone and the BMW N54 turbo six is in the hole! It may be a bit controversial but theres no turning back now! We did need to modify the engine crossmember a little bit and take a sledgehammer to the gearbox tunnel to fit the Getrag GS6-53BZ 6 Speed Manual but surprisingly the N54 fits quite well in the MA70! I know it's not everyone’s cup of tea,I get it, but it’s a 3L Turbo straight six that makes solid power and doesn’t cost JZ money. This build’s all about trying something different, learning a few new tricks, and building a Supra that’s a bit left of centre.
