Waco wetlands rebuild aims to protect clean drinking water

In Waco, a unique facility tied to that everyday need is being rebuilt to withstand future flooding better: the Lake Waco Wetlands. At first glance, it doesn’t feel like a water treatment site. Instead of constant machinery, there are birds, tall grasses, and open water.
