From barely knowing how to swim a few weeks ago, to now 🥹 #dockdiving #bordercollie #fosterdog

Atlas had his first dock diving competition this weekend did INCREDIBLE 💪 he started the weekends getting 10ft scores, then on day 2, he came out with an incredible 17’03” jump, bumping him up to the Senior division! 😍 There are 6 spots for finalists in each division, and he was tied three ways for 5th place… but lost out on his finals spot due to a count back. We were a little sad he wouldn’t have a chance to run in finals… but so bloody proud and in awe of his incredible achievement - especially being his third time ever on the dock! 💦 But at the last minute, someone decided to pull out of finals… securing Atlas a spot - only just 👌 After the first jump in finals (every dog gets two), he was coming dead last. But on his second and final jump - well, you can see it in the video - he absolutely FLEW, coming away with an unbelievable score of 20’04” 😭 Not only did he beat his whole division, but he also scored higher than most of the dogs in the next division up - including Winnie, my own seasoned dock diver 😅 I cannot believe this incredible boys natural talent.
