Drunk driver rammed his Honda CR-V into police car at Milford Street, Salisbury

On August 31, 2024, Ashley Sherred, 33, of Salisbury, was reported for drunk driving a Honda CR-V on Milford Street. After failing to stop for police near Fisherton Street, he drove recklessly through Bemerton Heath and Wilton, colliding with a fence. Tracked to Dairyhouse Bridge Caravan Site, Sherred rammed a police vehicle multiple times while attempting to flee, then escaped on foot over a barbed wire fence. He was arrested 15 meters away in shrubbery. In a separate incident on May 10, 2024, Sherred drove a blue Ford Fiesta recklessly in Pinewood Close, performing wheel spins and handbrake turns. When confronted by a resident, he deliberately hit the man, breaking his leg, then fled. Sherred was arrested later that day, and the vehicle was found the next day. Charged and remanded, Sherred was jailed on August 8, 2025, for both incidents.
