Ethics of human challenge studies

On March 2, 2026, PAHO’s Regional Program on Bioethics and on the Quality and Regulation of Medicines and Health Technologies held a new seminar in its ongoing series focused on clinical trials. This session presented the publication Key criteria for the ethical acceptability of controlled human infection studies during public health emergencies and addressed the challenges of its implementation in the Region..
