I Was Followed, Harassed, and Almost Kidn@pped

Have you ever felt fear so real that it could have taken your life? This is my true story of being followed, harassed, and nearly kidnapped, and how God’s divine protection kept me safe in ways I could never have imagined. Growing up in the late 1990s and early 2000s on the streets of San Diego, walking home from school could be terrifying. From vile words shouted at me to moments that could have ended my life, danger seemed constant. But even when I didn’t know Him personally, God was watching. He blocked the hands that tried to harm me, stopped the threat in its tracks, and turned a night of terror into a testimony of triumph. One night, a man pulled his car into an alley and ran toward me completely naked, ready to grab me. But as he came close, something invisible stood between us. He couldn’t move or touch me, and I ran safely home. Looking back, I realize this was no coincidence — it was God’s divine protection. Every close call, every moment of fear, was part of a spiritual battle, and God’s hand was shielding me even when I didn’t realize it. The Bible says, “The Lord is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust” (Psalm 91:2), and truly, His protection was real. The enemy may roar, but he cannot touch what God has sealed, and what was meant for evil was turned into power. This story is for anyone who has ever felt fear, danger, or hopelessness. Survival is not coincidence — it’s divine intervention. God covers you even when you don’t see Him, and He turns your trials into triumphs. As I reflect now at 39 years old, I see that every dark alley, every close call, and every moment of terror was a reminder that God was always there.
