Family lays to rest mother, son who died in Oak Cliff fire

Family, friends and community members gathered for a Catholic Mass honoring Marisol Pérez and her son Erik Pérez Jr. at Saint Cecilia Catholic Church shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday before a graveside service. The Mass was held in Spanish by Father Cruz Calderon, parish priest of Santa Cecilia, who said it was a time to celebrate the lives of Pérez and Erik and remember them with love.
