In this session Klaus and Ricardo take you on an extraordinary journey around the world in an electric glider - an aircraft powered by renewable energy and the invisible forces of nature. Riding mountain waves and jet streams across continents, this mission blends human exploration with science, cutting-edge technology and open data. In partnership with CERN, the glider has been transformed into a flying scientific laboratory - equipped with sensors measuring atmospheric conditions, radiation levels, and even cosmic rays. The data is streamed live through a Kubernetes-based telemetry and visualization pipeline, turning every flight into a real-time experiment at the intersection of physics, climate science, and AI.
