Inauguration of the New West Visayas State University (WVSU) College of Law Building 06/05/2026

La Paz, Iloilo City June 5, 2026 After gracing the commencement exercises of the third batch of graduates of the West Visayas State University (WVSU) College of Law, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos went to the College of Law Building 1 to lead the unveiling of a marker for the institution’s new academic building in La Paz, Iloilo City on June 5, 2026. Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vivencio ’Vince’ Dizon joined the President and the First Lady for a walkthrough of the facility. Implemented by DPWH Region VI, the Law Building 1 (Package 2) has a total floor area of 3,456 square meters on the WVSU campus. The four-storey building features six (6) theater-type air-conditioned classrooms, two (2) moot courtrooms, a review room, an arbitration room, a library, a legal clinic, a conference room, faculty offices, and other essential facilities that support legal education and training.
