W Herndon Avenue Railroad Crossing Grade Separation Project Update 3 5-27-2026

May 27, 2026 Progress so far on the Grade Separation Project of the West Herndon Avenue railroad crossing to take the roadway under the Union Pacific Fresno Sub main line track. So far, the original crossing has been removed and construction on the underpass has started there and the temporary new railroad crossing has been opened on the new shoofly track and new Herndon Ave bypass shoofly. I included clips of a train I caught but the full video of that train won't be till a later date published. The grade separation project is part of the CAHSR project taking Herndon Ave under the tracks due to the CAHSR line will run parallel to the UPRR Line here and CAHSR will have no crossings.
