Daniel Lajack, a former deputized federal agent who pled guilty to a charge related to illegally detaining a truck driver at a Hinckley bar, received his sentence Thursday in Medina County Common Pleas Court. Judge Joyce Kimbler sentenced the 48-year-old Lajack to 90 days in the Medina County jail, plus 90 days of substance abuse monitoring and two years of probation. On Feb. 9, the day his trial was set to begin, Lajack pleaded guilty to one count of attempted abduction. Earlier this week, Lajack's co-defendant, Donald Kopchak, was found guilty on two counts of felony abduction, one count of ethnic intimidation, and one misdemeanor assault charge. The 41-year-old Kopchak, a Cleveland police detective, will be sentenced by Kimbler on June 11.
