Asian Comma Butterfly Sunbathing and Taking Minerals

An Asian comma (Polygonia c-aureum, family Nymphalidae) in the autumn form licking the surface of wet pebbles in a mountain stream. The butterfly took vital minerals as it basked in the autumn sunshine. As soon as I came closer to it, the Asian comma flew away. The moment of takeoff was replayed at 5x slow-motion (0:40-).
