CRL Tunnel Vision December 2025

Tēnā koe, As we close out the year, this edition of Tunnel Vision looks back on the significant progress made on the City Rail Link project. In 2025, we hit many major milestones, from the first successful test train journey through the CRL tunnel at the start of the year, to the completion of Beresford Square at Karanga-a-Hape and the re-opening of Albert Street to buses. Inside the stations, distinctive architectural and cultural features such as the kaitiaki at Te Waihorotiu and the kauri snails at Mercury Lane were unveiled throughout the year, marking visible progress as the project moves steadily toward completion. With these milestones behind us, we look forward to welcoming Aucklanders on board in the second half of 2026.
