President Donald Trump has said he believes the US-Iran ceasefire "is over" following a series of strikes exchanged between the two sides overnight. The renewed attacks have increasingly threatened the interim agreement reached last month, with both Washington and Tehran accusing each other of breaching the deal. Asked by reporters at the Nato summit in Ankara on Wednesday whether the ceasefire was finished, Trump replied: "To me, I think it's over. I don't want to deal with them anymore. "It's just a waste of time dealing with them." The comments are Trump's clearest indication yet that the ceasefire agreement is close to collapsing. He also described Iran as "evil, sick people", as the future of the agreement with Tehran appeared increasingly uncertain. Overnight, the US Central Command said American forces had hit more than 80 targets with precision munitions "as an immediate response to Iran's latest attacks on commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz".
