We saw frustration kicking in across the league, cope kicking in for some fans and Connor Bedard seemingly checking out as he does not look happy. With the trade deadline around the corner, trades picked up as we saw Seth Jones go to Florida for Knight and Gustav Nyquist went back to Minnesota. Unfortunately, we also saw Jack Hughes go down in Las Vegas in a collision with Eichel as Hughes left the game in pain and there is obviously fear that he could have yet another season ending shoulder surgery coming. Garnett Hathaway also left the ice in Pittsburgh after Boko Imama hit him and Bostons captain Brad Marchand was another as a result of P.O Joseph crunching him along the boards. Speaking of injuries, we also got an update on Matthew Tkachuk as he went to LTIR but as for hockey, well we had some great goals from guys like Michkov and Sissons, fantastic saves from Quick and Comrie, Ovechkin chasing down Gretzky got to 884 goals getting to just 11 goals from the record now, Crosby breaking into the top 10 for assists with 1050 and McDavid becoming the 3rd fastest player to ever get to 700 assists doing so in 699 games. We also had plenty of nasty stuff around the league! Huge hits like Trouba on Slaggert, or Matt Rempe on Blankenberg and then another injury after Garnett Hathaway left the ice from a big hit from Boko Imama.
