Description

Good health means being well in mind, body, spirit and culture, and for Aboriginal health to prosper, it must be in Aboriginal hands. For NAIDOC Week, we caught up with the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service and their community to talk about the impact of culturally safe healthcare and the “Strengthening life-long Aboriginal health and wellbeing through access to early intervention and holistic care” initiative. This year’s NAIDOC theme, “Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud” invites all Australians to participate. We can all listen, learn and join in on meaningful conversation to foster a future where Indigenous knowledge and wisdom are valued, respected, and embedded into the fabric of our society. Always Was, Always Will Be.
