A bird automatically and without thought reacts to environmental cues such as reduction in temperature and shortening of daylight hours. The bird will feel the innate urge to migrate. Without conscious thought the bird feels an unstoppable compulsion to fly south. Programmed within its brain, unknown to itself, are the exact directions to fly and exact location hundreds of miles south to which it is programmed to travel. Just as your genetics dictate physical characteristics like hair color, eye color, height and other physical attributes, so are our behaviors, proclivities and actions molded. Science today, through areas of research like evolutionary psychology suggest that many of our behaviors, perhaps even all of our behaviors are controlled, or at least influenced at an unconscious genetic level. Once you start to envision the world like a programmed Matrix, or coded simulation, hundreds of instances of programmed behavior can easily be seen. Does a spider need to be taught how to spin a web? No, it is born genetically preprogrammed to spin incredibly complex webs. Do geese need to be trained when and where to fly in winter? No they are born with programmed commands built in, and in reaction to environmental cues, reduction in temperature, changes in the duration of light, the bird will instinctively start to fly south. A squirrel who has never seen another squirrel and kept indoors as a pet when presented with the right environmental trigger like a round object will instinctively exhibit hiding and digging behaviors. If you own a dog that obsessively chews chances are you did not train it to chew your furniture, it is born with a genetic impulse to chew when the appropriate environmental trigger like your slipper or furniture is presented. Mice who have never seen a hawk will hide when presented even with a shadow in the shape of a hawk. If you look at our world in this way you you will begin to see the enormous extent that all sentient life is actually programmed, like a computer, by genetics and other innate proclivities, to perform particular functions, mostly of them related to survival imperatives.
