This vessel is the Joe Derbas, a towboat utilized on the Great Lakes. The towboat was built in 1973 by Main Iron Works in Houma, Louisiana, originally named the National Freedom. It measures approximately 83 feet in length with a breadth of 30 feet.Renaming: Before being named the Joe Derbas, the vessel was known as the Compass Freedom and the Mike Marlier.
