Description

* (Disclaimer: The content in this video is intended for educational and informational purposes only) Tucson, Arizona — On April 10, 2025, at approximately 5:40 a.m., an emergency call was made reporting that a man had shot his daughter at a home in the 1000 block of East Fenley Drive in Pima County, south of Tucson. The caller claimed to be 23-year-old Axeel Melendez and said that his father had just shot his younger sister inside the residence. Because the report involved an active shooting with possible victims inside the home, deputies with the Pima County Sheriff's Department responded immediately, believing they were dealing with a life-threatening situation. When deputies arrived, they repeatedly announced themselves and attempted to make contact at the front door, but no one answered. They then moved to the back of the home and tried another entrance, again without success. With no response from inside and fearing injured victims could be trapped in the residence, deputies decided to force entry. A deputy used a shovel to break a bedroom window at the rear of the house, and deputies began entering through the opening while continuing to identify themselves as law enforcement. As one deputy climbed through the window, deputies encountered Melendez inside the home. Investigators say Melendez was standing near a doorway and was holding a handgun. Two deputies immediately fired their weapons, striking Melendez. He was seriously injured but survived and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Three deputies also suffered minor injuries unrelated to gunfire during the incident. As investigators reviewed the case, they determined that the original emergency call was likely a hoax, commonly referred to as a swatting incident. Authorities now believe that Melendez was not the person who placed the call that brought deputies to the home. The Pima Regional Critical Incident Team took over the investigation, while the Tucson Police Department is conducting the criminal investigation to determine exactly what occurred and whether the deputies acted within the law. 🚨𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑒𝑙 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑣𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑠 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑥𝑡𝑢𝑎𝑙 𝑑𝑜𝑐𝑢𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑙𝑦𝑠𝑖𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑙 𝑝𝑜𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑒 𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑢𝑏𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑙𝑦 𝑎𝑣𝑎𝑖𝑙𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑑𝑠. ⚠️𝑉𝑖𝑒𝑤𝑒𝑟 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑐𝑟𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑖𝑠 𝑎𝑑𝑣𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑑 𝑑𝑢𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑜𝑢𝑠 𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑡.⚠️ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Special thanks to Shout-Out Supporters on Patreon: - 'DIY Solar Power with Will Prowse' - Ahmed Omar Alkahlout - KHALID - Michael Griffin - John Doe - 'Twitchypowpow' - Lillian Daley - Tyrell Robertson - christine Grinter - 'The Evil Queen' - Benjamin Osgood - Gary Wilson - LJ - Edward Aquino - Brianna Wilkins - William - Elisabeth Craig - Bobby Roach - Sarin Dipity - Becky Hopkins - thomas - Cody Stephens - Troy Polansky - Tulla Belle - 'quadrakyiro' - Scott Mackin - "John B.
